Dense phase – positive pressure

The positive pressure dense phase conveyor allows the transfer of dry products at low velocity (5 to 15 m/s).

It is principally use to transfer highly sensitive and abrasive products. It also avoids the particle size separation into the pipe.

The medium used for transport is air. A SAS device is used to pressurize the product and release it as a pulse plug into the pipe.

Regarding of the characteristics of the product (hygrometry, purity level, etc.), we can add different elements to the pipe network:

– Air desiccator

– Pre-filter and hygienic filter

This transfer mode is used for medium flow rates at high pressures. It allows the product to be conveyed over very long distances while maintaining its integrity.

In the same way as pneumatic transport in dense phase by suction, it is less energy intensive than transport in dilute phase.
